As summer comes to a close and the school year kicks off we will begin a new sermon series as well. This Fall we will dive into the book of I Timothy and look specifically at the place of the church in the world. I Timothy was a letter written by Paul to his friend Timothy who he mentored in the ministry. Timothy was placed over the church in Ephesus and charged with making sure that they held to the gospel message of Jesus Christ at all costs. I believe this message is as relevant now as it was 2000 years ago. At a time when the church is getting swept up into the mainstream culture and being forced to deal with such things as the prosperity gospel, secularism, relativism, and a constantly changing social climate we need, perhaps now more than ever, to hear a clear message of orthodoxy; and one of the best places to do that is the book of I Timothy. I hope you will join us each week as we look in depth at this wonderful letter to all church members and leaders. Please join us at 8:30 or 11:00 at the church or listen to the messages online if you’d like.
